Rules
The use of the club’s tennis courts are subject to the following conditions.
These rules are to ensure that all players get equitable playing time and have favorable playing conditions.

- Players must sign in before playing, unless a court steward is on duty. If a court steward is on duty, her or she will maintain the sign-up board.
- Only players wearing a members shoe tag may place their name on the sign-up board.
- Playing time is 40 minutes for both singles or doubles.
- Singles play is not allowed when courts are full and a doubles group is waiting to play.
- At least one of the players booked must remain court-side after booking.
- It is the responsibility of those who are waiting to inform those playing when their time is up.
- Players must occupy the court within five minutes of time booked; otherwise court becomes forfeit.
- Enter and Exit the courts through the nearest gate. Courts 1 & 2 use the south-west gate near the parking lot and courts 3 & 4 use the north-west gate in the park.
- No advance booking or booking for other people.
- No booking of one court while playing on another.
- Do not disturb others while play is in progress. In particular:
- Do not walk behind courts while play is in progress.
- Remain outside the courts while play is in progress.
- Wait for break in play before asking players to return your ball to you; similarly do not return other courts’ balls while play is in progress.
- All players must wear appropriate tennis shoes.
- Junior members are permitted to play during adult hours provided they play with one or more adults.
- Non-members are not permitted to sign on the board during club hours and must vacate the courts when members are waiting to play.
- No baskets or other instructional equipment allowed on courts during prime-time.
- No formal lessons are permitted during prime-time except by the Tennis Director.
- Members who behave in an offensive manner will be asked to leave the courts.
- All equipment, clothing and water bottles must be placed at the net posts, not at the back or sides of the courts.
